TheGolden Man of Italian Taekwondo, he is currently Team Manager of the Italian National Taekwondo Team, was captain of the Italian National Taekwondo Team, Olympic champion in the +80 kg category at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Since 2016, every year he has created, in collaboration with Esitur, a summer camp dedicated to taekwondo under the name "Carlo Molfetta Legacy Camp," designed to welcome children and young people from all over the world with whom Carlo Molfetta spends an entire week helping them perfect technique,
training and results.

In 2020 he was featured in the documentary named after him aired on Sky Sports, produced by Artmediasport.
As of May 2021, "The Obsession of a Dream," the book that tells his story written together with journalist Alfredo Alberico, is available.
