WBC Silver International Champion and European Middleweight Champion. He has as many as 44 amateur fights to his credit, winning the title of vice-champion of Italy.
In 2007 he switched to the professional ranks and to date has had as many as 33 fights, 29 of which he has won (including 5 by knockout) and only 4 lost.

In 2017, he tells his story in the book "What a Struggle is Life," co-written with journalist Dario Torromeo, in which he emphasizes his athletic career but especially the accomplishment of a man who carries a sensational life story.
